I'm up too late.
So it's 12:38 AM and I'm writing my first blog. It's October 7th, so it's my mom's 50th birthday.. happy birthday mom! I have a big day tomorrow (today), and really should be getting some good sleep in. So what do I do? I stay up all hours of the night, as usual, cause I'm good like that. Staying up this late wouldn't be much of a problem if I didn't have a 1-year-old who likes to wake up earlier than noon.Anyway, tomorrow should be fun and I'm excited. Some friends are up from New Orleans (they live here, but have been down there helping rebuild for almost a year). They're throwing their annual party at their house (Octoberfest), so I'm looking forward to seeing a bunch of people I haven't seen in a while, and I'm sure they all want to see Alena (my daughter). Last time I showed up without her they read me the riot act.. haha j/k.
We're also having a surprise birthday party for my mom. She's in the next room so hopefully she doesn't walk in as I'm writing this. It's just going to be a small party, but it'll be special. My sister did most of the work on it, but I'm going to go help decorate tomorrow (today). It should be fun, and I don't think mom has a clue we're doing this.
Then after mom's party I'm either going to go back to my friend's party, or I'm going to go to another friend's going away party. There is just tooooo much going on tomorrow (today). It's crazy. It seems like nothing ever goes on around here... and then BAM.. everything happens in the same weekend. Why the events couldn't have been spaced out a little, I will never know.
On top of that, another friend of mine is having a bridal shower, which I will be unable to attend, and yet another friend is coming up from Delaware with my favorite 2 little boys (her sons). Man do I miss them.
Well.. I suppose I should quit rambling get my butt to bed. I'll post more about how my weekend went, and I'll try to do it when I'm not so tired and incoherant.
